shiru's example 11 --- level data

shiru's example 11 --- level data
by on (#129874)
Hi guys!
I'm studing shiru's example, and in his example 11, there is a byte array that contains level data.
I tried with RLE and obviously it's not that format.
I also tried use "anytoc" convert a nametable to a byte array(aka unsigned char).
And no.

So,does any one know where I can make the same thing, and what is that format?

That's a strange statement. RLE is a 'class' of formats, not a specific format. There are as many different ways to RLE something as there are atoms in the universe.

Okay, I mean the RLE format in shiru's example.
He's Nes Screen Tool can generate RLE format, and there is a method in he's library that
can unpack RLE to nametable.

Well I think I know what kinds of format it is.
And now I'm gonna try to write a map editor that generates data like shiru's.
If anyone wants to know, post here, then i'll write detailed infomation.

Post detailed information about the format, then. Let's see the comparison to whatever other formats might be in use. There are also formats using Huffman, metatiles, RLE, combinations of such things, and other stuff.
